Menstrual Health and Hygiene
Caring Heart Healthcare Foundation works to educate young girls on Menstrual Health and Hygiene. Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) is essential to the well-being and empowerment of women and adolescent girls. Here we provide the following;
- Quality and sustainable menstrual materials and supportive materials.
- Demonstration on how to use MHH materials.
- Private sector and social enterprises deliver quality and affordable products
- Menstrual hygiene promotion and education.
- Break stigma and misinformation of Menstruation.
- Improve accessibility to menstrual products.
No to drugs campaign
Caring Heart Healthcare Foundation organizes a campaign, which is aimed at preventing and reducing alcohol and other drug use. Research shows young people are the most at-risk of harm when it comes to drug use, which can affect the rest of their lives. The objective of this campaign involves the following;
- Promote Drug Aware as a source of credible and accurate information on illicit drugs.
- Increase awareness and knowledge of the potential health, social and legal consequences of illicit drug use.
- Increase awareness and knowledge of the potential health effect of cannabis and other harmful drugs.
Community Health Promotion
Caring Heart Healthcare Foundation works with trained volunteers with transferable skills to deliver community outreach, health promotion and awareness session aimed to relieve sickness, preserve and protect the good health of people in the community. We also provide regular community training and workshops through collaborating with other providers to deliver health awareness training focusing on HIV/AIDS, Mental Health Awareness, Heart Disease, Depression and Healthy Eating.
Back to School campaign
Caring Heart Healthcare Foundation organizes back to school campaigns, which aims at providing quality education to children in need, regardless of their socio-economic background and empower them to build a better a future for themselves and their communities. The objects of this campaign is as follows;
- To provide free and high-quality education to children who are unable to attend school due to financial or other barriers.
- To increase the enrolment and retention of children in schools by reducing primary dropout rates.
- To empower children with life skills and knowledge that can help them lead a successful and fulfilling life.
- To promote gender equality by ensuring that both girls and boys have equal access to education.
- To engage with parents and communities to create a supportive environment for children to learn and grow.
- To collaborate with local schools, businesses, and other organizations to expand the reach and impact of our programs.
Poverty Alleviation
Caring Heart Healthcare Foundation supports the vulnerable and homeless people in the community by providing information, advice and guidance that supports them to access available appropriate support around accommodation so that they can end being destitute and rebuild their lives to live independently in the society. We also run a community food bank and offers a home-cooked hot meal to the homeless and disadvantaged families during School holiday.
Domestic Violence Support
Caring Heart Foundation is a specialist organization working in the field of domestic abuse to deliver the spectrum of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) services in London.
Our service works to:
- Provide Frontline advice, advocacy, outreach, referral, and drop-in services supporting women in accessing safety options and services in rebuilding their lives.
- Risk assessment and safety planning to exist to women enabling them to come out from an abusive relationship.
- Deliver group and one to one emotional support and counselling to help women build self-confidence, self-esteem and independence.
Straight Talk Programme
Caring Heart Foundation runs the Straight-Talking programme designed to highlight the social, emotional and economic implications of early parenthood and sexual exploitation, which is delivered by peer educators, who speak from first-hand experience through group sessions. The sessions are designed to help young girls understand that early parenthood is most often not a rational choice and encourages them to wait until they are in a stable relationship, economically independent and emotionally secure before becoming a parent. It also helps young girls to identify signs and causes of sexual exploitation and domestic violence as well as understand consequences and where to get help.
